While working at the Marion Chronicle-Tribune newspaper in Indiana, I pitched an idea to the staff: “What if we documented basketball in every way that we could during 48 hours in our rural county?” The result was a special section of the newspaper, dozens of photographs and a feature story about how basketball defined life in Grant County. These images were my contribution.
